Ralf Bieler, Switzerland (38 min) Institute for Healing of Memories (IHOM) in South Africa English The documentary portrays the work of the Institute for Healing of Memories (IHOM) in South Africa which was founded right after the Truth and Reconciliation Commission concluded its work. It offered a venue for participants from different ethnic groups to reflect on intimate as well as on the political experiences during the apartheid era. It employed different methods through which people were invited into a space of storytelling and reflection in which the intersection of autobiography and history of the nation was employed. The documentary presents the views of leaders of the Institute who belong to different generations.
