Long Abstract:

This is a discussion about what the engagement of anthropology with epistemologies is in the literature. The panel explores whether it has been possible to work within other epistemologies or not, what value this can contribute to equity in the world and dialogue across chasms, and understanding of the limitations of one's own epistemology.

The discussants will refer to a selection of key works, illustrating their limitations and contributions, and discuss the subject in association with dominant paradigm(s) in medical, legal, philosophical, economic or policy development context.
