Information for publishers

People make places

The 10th SIEF Congress brings together over 900 anthropologists and ethnologists from around the globe in Lisbon. SIEF congresses are always friendly and busy events. The publisher stalls are situated by the reception desks, and by the tea and coffee provision. This will be a space where delegates congregate and linger, and they won't miss your presence. We encourage publishers to come along and participate in this international event.

Book fair, 18-20 April, 11:00 to 19:00, Block 1, Piso 0, Room 42

The publishers will be displaying their material below the reception desks. Please come and browse. There will be various book launches taking place in the coffee breaks, during the week, by delegates who've published in 2010/11. Launches will be advertised at the congress and listed below.

Setting up stalls - Please set up by 11am on Monday 18th April, so that the publisher's display is up and ready as the congress begins. Or set up on the Sunday and take advantage of delegates milling about in anticipation of the opening! If at all possible, please also avoid taking the stand down before the lunchtime on the Wednesday, because this markedly affects the atmosphere of the congress in a negative way. In return, we will make sure that the publisher's stands are at the centre of the action.
