Membership benefits
EASA has organised a series of immensely successful conferences, and sponsors the publication of a major international journal and book series. It is looking to diversify its activities during the coming years, to expand and consolidate the work of the Networks and to introduce new scientific activities for the promotion of Social Anthropology as a discipline. We hope you will be with us as we take EASA into the future. Membership fees for 2007EASA has altered its membership categories for 2007, dispensing with the East/West division and substituting instead variable membership rates according to income. The membership administration has effected this change for existing members, and has emailed all members regarding their new membership categories. All members have now been invoiced for 2007 subscriptions according to these categories. Please settle your invoice by the end of June. Email us if you have not received this invoice - or use the login link on the left, to see what/if you owe. The categories and rates are as follows: Ordinary (Full) membership & Associate membership rates
Student membership: €30 (or £20)Joint (Full) membership
Which membership is right for you?For Ordinary (full) membership you must possess either a doctoral degree (or equivalent) in social anthropology from a European university, or a teaching or research post in social anthropology which is at a European university or institution of equivalent standing. If you and your partner are both eligible for FULL membership you may economise with joint membership, where you receive only one set of publications between you. Student membership is for those studying a social anthropology degree at a European university or institution of equivalent standing.. Associate membership is for those who do not meet the criteria for FULL membership, but who can show evidence of substantial and active involvement in the pursuit of social anthropology - for example those from non-European institutions with non-European qualifications.
